National Digital Health Mission Essay In English
On 73rd Indian Independence Day, the Prime Minister announced the implementation of the National Digital Health Mission Scheme nationwide. The main objective of this mission is to create a digital health system for the citizens of the country to properly manage their health data. It is a big plan to improve the health of the citizens. According to this scheme, a health ID will be provided to each citizen, in which there will be a full account of his/her health. This health ID will contain all the records of your medical history including the tests, medicine you took, doctor you visited, reports etc.
According to the Prime Minister, the National Digital Health Mission scheme will make a revolutionary change in India’s in the health care sector. Like ‘Ayushman Bharat’, the National Digital Health Mission Scheme will prove helpful for the people living in remote regions. Under the scheme, personal health record, testing center, medical institutes and state medical councils will be computerized, so that people from any corners of the country can receive medical advice from a doctor.
This scheme be commenced in four stages, under which the first stage will be enrollment of Health ID, Personal Medical File, online Doctor and Healthcare facility. Later, services like e-pharmacy and telemedicine will also be included in this program. Anybody can join this scheme as special care has been taken to protect the privacy of a person.
This National Digital Health Mission NDHM scheme will be executed in a staged manner in the country. In the beginning of the scheme, it will be executed in a few select states only. The Finance Ministry has authorized Rs. 470 crore for this purpose. The National Health Authority (NHA) has developed an app and a website to deliver more information regarding the scheme. Like Ayushman Bharat, this scheme will be efficient in granting better health opportunities to the people all over the country.
